Frequently asked questions.
Will I be asleep?

No. You are awake and alert, aware of everything that is happening throughout the session.

Will I be under your power during hypnosis?

No. You are always in control. You cannot be made to do anything and you cannot be taken into hypnosis against your will.

How will it feel?

Everyone is different … some people feel sleepy, some just feel very relaxed and at ease. Following your session you may feel excited and amped for change or you may feel quiet and reflective. But, however you feel, you will always leave your session(s) with a sense of understanding, freedom & empowerment.

Hypnosis is a natural state that you experience in your day to day life. During your session, you will feel, relaxed & comfortable.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?

Everyone can. As long as you want to enter hypnosis, you will. It’s an easy, thoroughly relaxing process. Hypnosis is not magic- it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brainwaves the same as during REM (associated with sleep) It is a natural state of being that you move in & out of every day.

Is it confidential?

Absolutely. All clients are assured of confidentiality about any disclosed material, in accordance with professional codes of ethics, and as specified in my privacy policy.

Do you do regression?

Yes. Regression is an invaluable way to discover the source of an issue. You will not re experience anything, you will simply observe events or experiences you have had in your past. What you see may make you sad or joyful but either way you will feel completely safe as you observe. Whilst it is very safe do not participate in regression therapy if you or your treating practitioners have any past or existing concerns about your mental health.

Are online sessions as effective as face to face?

YES… Given you have your eyes closed for the majority of the session it makes little difference to your experience & the convenience & comfort of being in your own home is an advantage to you. It is important that I can see you to observe & facilitate your session effectively. Zoom is used for online meetings, it’s a free, very easy platform to use & all the details are sent through to you. You can use a smart phone, tablet or computer, you need a quiet place (with good WIFI signal) in which you feel comfortable & undisturbed. The results will be the same whether your session is in person or online.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Everyone is different because clients come with different issues, some will only require 1 session whereas other issues are more complex and can take 2, 3 and on rare occasions, maybe more sessions. It does also depend on your level of commitment to your recording for a minimum of 31 days.
Change can happen for people in 3 ways:

  • Instant: you feel an immediate shift at the conclusion of the session, mentally, emotionally and physically.
  • Cumulative: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
  • Retroactively: you don’t notice change initially but one day upon looking back, you see how much things actually have changed in your life.
